Requirements
- Proven track record of leading small cross-functional engineering teams.
- Substantial expertise in frontend development with React and Typescript.
- Substantial expertise in backend systems using Elixir and Phoenix.
- Advanced knowledge of security, performance, and production environment requirements.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Experience working with Typescript and GraphQL.
- Experience with DevOps, including infrastructure management and deployments.
- Ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools for productivity and code quality.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on shipping quality code.
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving company environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead small cross-functional teams of 4-6 engineers to deliver high-quality releases on schedule.
- Perform hands-on product development using Typescript, React, and Elixir.
- Own software architecture and decision-making for a specific functional area.
- Champion the integration of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and enhance code quality.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high standards for security, performance, and operational reliability.
- Mentor and level the skills of junior and senior engineers within the team.
- Collaborate with founders and engineering leadership to build core product features.
