Requirements
- Previous experience in medical billing and coding.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Experience reviewing clinical documentation and assigning accurate codes.
- Understanding of healthcare reimbursement processes and claims management.
- Strong understanding of Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Must have relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar administrative tools.
- Ability to work during 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time.
- Must provide NBI clearance or Local Police Clearance background check.
- High-speed internet (min 25 Mbps), noise-canceling headset, and webcam required.
Responsibilities
- Assign and review appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
- Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with payer requirements.
- Support providers with documentation-related coding questions.
- Verify insurance information and patient eligibility.
- Assist with claim corrections, resubmissions, and appeals.
- Support general healthcare administrative workflows.
- Collaborate with providers and team members to improve operational efficiency.
