Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical/related engineering field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of electronic hardware components, qualification, and reliability (e.g., ICs, transistors, discrete and passive components).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and work from component and design specifications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills for maintaining lists of parts, specifications, risks, and vendor actions.
  • Experience engaging vendors directly on parts and sourcing discussions.
  • Component reliability experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support directed component selection for upcoming designs by coordinating with Component Engineering teams and vendors.
  • Assist Component and ECU Reliability teams with Bill of Materials (BoM) reviews against vehicle life requirements and design guidelines.
  • Maintain the list of major component risks and controllers with routine vendor follow-ups.
  • Prepare and send vendor communications regarding reliability requirements, targets, and test plans.
  • Collect, organize, and format component reliability test data from vendors.
  • Execute root-cause coordination tasks including meeting logistics, data collection, and vendor follow-ups.
