Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Leadership experience in a Controller, Senior Director, or equivalent role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and tax compliance.
- Expertise in trade spend, customer deductions, and multi-location inventory accounting.
- Advanced technology skills including Excel, accounting systems, and ERP platforms.
- Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI.
- Ability to leverage AI, automation, and data analytics for reporting and forecasting.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
- Experience in CPG, beauty, personal care, or food/beverage industries preferred.
- Experience with mass market retailers and digital commerce channels preferred.
- CPA or MBA preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and inventory accounting.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare financial statements and provide actionable business insights for leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure accounting policies and practices comply with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Partner with the CFO and leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Analyze channel profitability, customer margins, and inventory performance to drive decision-making.
- Oversee financial controls, cash flow management, and banking relationships.
- Direct the implementation of finance systems, automation tools, and data analytics to scale operations.
- Build, mentor, and lead the accounting and finance team through coaching and performance management.
