Requirements
- Certified teacher or at least 5 years of proven experience as a homeschool instructor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, English, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience teaching middle school-aged students in Math and ELA.
- Familiarity with working with students who have learning disabilities (e.g., ASD, dyslexia, dysgraphia).
- Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse student learning styles and needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Patient and empathetic approach to instruction.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement customized lesson plans aligned with state standards and student learning styles.
- Deliver interactive, adaptive lessons incorporating games, real-world examples, STEM-related readings, and writing exercises.
- Administer and grade assignments, quizzes, and projects to monitor and adjust student progress.
- Modify lessons to support students with learning differences such as ASD, dyslexia, or dysgraphia.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain ongoing communication with parents or guardians.
- Establish a nurturing, organized learning environment that fosters critical thinking and independent learning.
