Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or comparable qualification.
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience in an operational finance role.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, AR/AP processes, and financial closing procedures.
- Familiarity with German GAAP (HGB).
- Professional accounting certification (e.g., Bilanzbuchhalter/in, CPA) is a plus.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., DATEV, Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems).
- Effective communication skills in both German and English.
- Structured and dependable work approach with a hands-on attitude.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring proper account coding, approval, and posting.
- Manage AP/AR cycles, including payment execution, reconciliations, and overdue account follow-ups.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions.
- Execute general ledger (G/L) postings and ensure alignment with accounting policies.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and audit documentation.
- Support finance-related projects such as system upgrades and process automation.
