Requirements

  • 10 years relevant experience in food and beverage procurement including key suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers.
  • 5 years experience in contract development, analyses, and execution.
  • 5 years experience in logistics activities including transportation, inventory control, and temperature-controlled environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent trade experience.
  • Expertise in food commodity markets, commodity data analysis, and market volatility.
  • In-depth knowledge of USDA/USDC food safety standards and regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead procurement and negotiation strategies based on complex variables.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sourcing strategy for food, beverages, disposables, kitchen supplies, and outsourced foodservice providers.
  • Direct sourcing, quality control, and supplier management for all North American food and beverage supplies.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, service-level agreements, and performance guarantees.
  • Oversee food distribution partners with direct responsibility for at least $140 million in annual purchases.
  • Manage RFI/RFP activities, including vendor analysis, scorecard creation, and contract awards.
  • Develop and implement productivity improvements to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).
