Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience in clinical operations, vendor management, clinical trial start-up, or related clinical research functions.
- Prior vendor-facing experience within clinical trials.
- Strong understanding of clinical protocols, study start-up processes, and clinical trial execution.
- Experience evaluating, selecting, onboarding, and managing clinical vendors and service providers.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure contractual compliance.
- Familiarity with clinical project management methodologies and operational planning.
- Experience interacting with investigators, clinical staff, site networks, and research teams.
- Proficiency with CTMS platforms, clinical portals, Salesforce, SharePoint, and project tracking tools.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement new processes, workflows, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Review clinical protocols and study documentation to identify vendor requirements, qualifications, and service needs.
- Source, evaluate, and qualify vendors capable of supporting clinical trial objectives and operational requirements.
- Conduct market research to assess vendor capabilities, pricing structures, compliance standards, and potential risks.
- Lead vendor selection activities, including RFPs, RFQs, evaluations, and recommendation processes.
- Negotiate, review, and finalize vendor agreements in collaboration with legal, finance, and operational stakeholders.
- Manage the full vendor contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, compliance tracking, and performance oversight.
- Establish and monitor vendor performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify, escalate, and resolve vendor-related issues impacting study execution, timelines, quality, or budget.
