Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin programming languages.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes resource management, Helm charts, and operator patterns.
- Experience managing and operating cloud-native distributed infrastructure focused on networking or compute.
- Demonstrated ability to define technical plans for significant features with simple and extensible designs.
- Strong skills in making significant changes safely within a large, complex codebase.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals while leading engineers through ambiguous problem-solving.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics partners to define technical constraints and project decisions.
- Proactively identify and resolve project, process, or architectural issues.
- Support system operations, availability, and on-call efforts by creating and monitoring performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of quality by setting code review and design standards through writing and technical advocacy.
- Develop team talent by providing regular feedback and technical mentorship.
