Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of program management or shared services experience.
- Experience in a federated nonprofit organization or Make-A-Wish chapter preferred.
- 2+ years in a people management or leadership position.
- Expertise in nonprofit program delivery, volunteer recruitment, budgeting, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, research, data analysis, and change management.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and WVC.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to build trust and influence without authority in a federated model.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel for internal and external meetings.
- Flexibility to work outside traditional business hours, including evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Deploy into chapters as an interim resource to manage day-to-day wish-granting functions.
- Assess chapter workflows, caseloads, and risk areas to prioritize and stabilize wish pipelines.
- Coordinate and facilitate the transfer of wishes between chapters to ensure timely fulfillment.
- Provide stabilization support during chapter leadership or staffing transitions.
- Partner with chapter leaders to remove barriers that delay or prevent wish fulfillment.
- Represent the national office while embedded in chapters to ensure alignment with policies and standards.
- Document processes and transition notes to support long-term chapter sustainability.
