Requirements
- 8+ years of P&C insurance experience.
- Deep expertise in personal homeowners product management.
- Demonstrated P&L ownership across multiple states and product lines.
- Experience with ratemaking, underwriting, product design, and regulatory affairs.
- Track record of launching new products, coverages, or endorsements.
- Experience entering new territories.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to perform hands-on quantitative analysis.
- Familiarity with E&S property products preferred.
- Experience in California admitted homeowners markets preferred.
- Experience with SQL, SAS, R, Python, or Tableau preferred.
- Master’s degree or relevant professional designation preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage P&L results within assigned region, states, and product lines.
- Ensure rate adequacy and appropriate CAT exposure management.
- Build and launch new products and coordinate with state departments for approval.
- Drive the rate and rule revision process end-to-end from scope to implementation.
- Partner with Actuarial and Analytics teams to assess profitability and identify improvement opportunities.
- Review competitor filings, rate algorithms, and underwriting guidelines.
- Provide thought leadership on go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
- Set and maintain clear priorities across competing product initiatives.
- Mentor and coach junior team members.
