Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Required).
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (Preferred).
- 5 years of experience in healthcare reimbursement, Medicare, Medicaid, and cost reporting (Required).
- In-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage financial reporting and cost reserves.
- Experience with DRG reimbursement, rate weightings, and federal reporting compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and review annual Medicare and Medicaid cost reports for all system facilities.
- Calculate third-party cost reserves on a monthly and annual basis.
- Develop system-wide cost reports for presentation to executive leadership.
- Conduct multi-year forecasts of government reimbursement programs.
- Monitor changes in DRG reimbursement, rates, weightings, and indexes to ensure federal compliance.
- Provide modeling and recommendations to optimize reimbursement under government program regulations.
