Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Active multistate/compact RN licensure (if applicable based on state of residence).
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
- Proficiency in EHR data entry and telephony systems.
- Technical requirement: High-speed internet with at least 100Mbps download and 20Mbps upload.
- Designated, lockable home workspace meeting HIPAA compliance standards.
- Available for rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights) and every-other-weekend requirements.
- Ability to work on-call and rotating holidays.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient transfer logistics including level of care identification and bed placement.
- Facilitate communication between referring facilities, physicians, and receiving hospitals.
- Document patient information accurately in EHR systems while maintaining PHI protection.
- Monitor individual and team compliance with regulatory standards like EMTALA and HIPAA.
- Identify, trend, and report barriers to patient access and operational throughput.
- Participate in quality improvement, peer reviews, and professional development activities.
