Requirements
- Significant experience developing software for shareable features across multiple engineering projects.
- Experience leading small-to-mid-sized technical initiatives.
- Proven ability to make high-level architectural decisions and redesign legacy services for reliability.
- Expert knowledge of AWS (S3, Lambda, EC2, IAM).
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, Snowflake, and RabbitMQ (or similar message brokers).
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow (DAG design and development).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Experience using AI coding assistants and LLMs to accelerate development (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CircleCI.
Responsibilities
- Design and own entire engineering domains with a focus on testability, extensibility, and scalability.
- Build and maintain reliable data pipelines, authoring and orchestrating Airflow DAGs and leveraging Snowflake for large-scale analytics.
- Act as an AI-native engineer, integrating AI tooling into the development lifecycle and leading adoption efforts through pairing and documentation.
- Perform root cause analysis for complex, multi-domain incidents and implement proactive measurement solutions.
- Apply platform engineering principles to automate repetitive tasks and reduce operational toil.
- Drive cost-optimization strategies for cloud resource utilization while maintaining performance.
- Mentor team members, conduct prescriptive code reviews, and provide architectural leadership for legacy service redesigns.
