Requirements
- 5+ years in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or MSP/MSSP environments.
- Proven experience supporting security-conscious or regulated clients.
- Proficiency with networking: FortiGate, routing/switching, VPN, SD-WAN, and wireless.
- Proficiency with Cloud/Identity: Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, and conditional access.
- Proficiency with Systems: Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization, endpoint management, and backup/recovery.
- Experience with MSSP security tools such as CrowdStrike, ThreatLocker, and Cisco Duo.
- Experience in a PSA-driven service organization (HaloPSA strongly preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent experience.
- Relevant certifications: Microsoft Azure/M365 (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, MS-102), Networking (Fortinet NSE, CCNA), or Security+.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point for network, cloud, and systems issues.
- Engineer and support network environments including FortiGate, VPN, and SD-WAN.
- Manage cloud and identity infrastructure via Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Support core systems including Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization.
- Implement security controls aligned with frameworks like HIPAA, NIST 800-171, and CMMC.
- Deliver client-facing projects including migrations and infrastructure upgrades.
- Maintain exemplary documentation and time logging within HaloPSA.
- Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers on troubleshooting and best practices.
