Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, network security engineering, or infrastructure security roles
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, network architecture, and distributed systems design principles
- Experience conducting security-focused architecture reviews and identifying systemic risks in networked environments
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Rust, or similar) for automation and tooling development
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their security ecosystems
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK) in production environments
- Experience building or operating network-based security controls, monitoring systems, or detection pipelines
- Background in incident response, including investigation and remediation of security incidents
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, infrastructure, and security teams
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evolve network security architecture across cloud, production, and enterprise environments, ensuring resilient and scalable defensive controls
- Develop and maintain security tooling and automation to improve threat detection, visibility, and response across distributed systems
- Conduct security-focused network architecture and design reviews, ensuring secure-by-design principles are embedded in infrastructure decisions
- Build and deploy network-based defensive mechanisms, including access controls, segmentation, monitoring, and anomaly detection systems
- Partner with infrastructure, networking, and platform teams to integrate security into system design, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows
- Support incident response activities, including investigation, mitigation, post-incident analysis, and long-term remediation efforts
- Drive security engineering initiatives independently while influencing a security-first culture across technical teams
