Requirements
- Active national pharmacy technician license.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 0-1 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Strong computer skills with ability to learn Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Pharmacy Dispensing Systems (PDS).
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining patient data confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00am - 7:30pm Mountain Time.
- PTCB or equivalent national certification strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain required state licensure if not already held.
Responsibilities
- Proactively grow the specialty pharmacy patient population by identifying eligible patients.
- Perform patient benefits investigations using multiple approved tools.
- Research patients' medical records to determine current medication regimens.
- Document benefits investigation outcomes clearly and concisely in the designated tool.
- Collaborate with team members to provide an integrated approach of quality patient care.
- Identify trends, resolve operational problems, and recommend process improvements.
- Act as a value-added business partner to stakeholders throughout the organization.
