Requirements
- Strong TypeScript development experience.
- Deep cross-platform expertise including filesystem operations, subprocess management, and terminal handling.
- Solid understanding of CLI distribution and packaging (e.g., Homebrew, npm, APT, Scoop, Chocolatey).
- Track record of building CLI tools with high-quality developer UX.
- Experience making and defending architectural decisions in a collaborative, asynchronous environment.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop other engineers.
- Familiarity with agentic workflows and designing for agent-based use cases.
- High level of autonomy and ability to ship technical projects without heavy supervision.
Responsibilities
- Set and drive the technical direction for Supabase CLI and local development tooling across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- Lead architecture decisions by writing RFCs, building consensus, and moving proposals to outcomes.
- Serve as the technical lead for cross-platform edge cases, release engineering, and performance optimization.
- Work with engineering leadership on roadmap tradeoffs and technical prioritization.
- Act as a significant individual contributor while mentoring engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design feedback.
- Engage with the open-source community around the Supabase CLI ecosystem.
