Requirements
- 2-3 years of customer service experience via phone or call center.
- 1-2 years of medical billing, insurance, or related healthcare experience.
- Experience navigating electronic medical record (EMR) systems (e.g., Athena, eClinicalWorks, Epic).
- Proficiency in Google Suite.
- Ability to toggle between multiple systems efficiently.
- Strong typing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to show empathy and passion for customer service.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in an ambiguous and ever-changing environment.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule as needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage 60-80 incoming and outgoing patient calls regarding medical bills daily.
- Handle patient questions via inbound chats, phone calls, and outbound call campaigns using the Cedar platform.
- Execute and follow through on escalations to healthcare providers.
- Lead the payment posting process and conduct follow-ups on defaulted payments.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and third-party stakeholders.
- Meet individual and team metrics related to patient satisfaction and collections performance.
