Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple markets, timelines, and logistics streams simultaneously.
  • Genuine belief in the organizational mission.
  • Builder's mindset with comfort operating without a complete playbook.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for regional in-market presence or national partner convenings.
  • Experience in community organizing, civic engagement, or social movement contexts (preferred).
  • Experience working with national organizations and their affiliate/chapter networks (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience managing online communities using platforms like Circle.so (preferred).
  • Experience nurturing community from early stages, reducing churn, and sparking conversations (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute convenings, workshops, and activation touchpoints from logistics to facilitation and follow-through.
  • Establish a consistent rhythm of touchpoints to keep the community active.
  • Own relationships with venues, vendors, and logistics partners to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Document stories, connections, and insights from events to feed into the team and platform.
  • Manage and support online community circles, including moderation and engagement.
  • Identify common ground to build persistent peer-to-peer relationships.
  • Support leader onboarding to integrate them into the community network.
  • Track community health metrics to identify emerging leaders and engagement levels.
  • Coordinate with Senior Engagement Managers and external implementing partners to execute activation strategies.
