Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, site reliability engineering, cloud operations, or cloud security roles.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing production environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong expertise in GCP networking, landing zones, IAM, encryption services, observability tools, and security controls.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and related Infrastructure as Code frameworks.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud monitoring, logging, SLO management, incident response, and operational excellence practices.
  • Working knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, FedRAMP, CMMC, or similar standards.
  • Ability to create audit-ready documentation and effectively map technical implementations to compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage secure Google Cloud Platform landing zones and cloud foundations for regulated and federal environments.
  • Build and maintain cloud networking architectures, including segmentation, connectivity, security controls, and access management frameworks.
  • Administer identity, access, encryption, and privileged access controls while enforcing least-privilege security principles.
  • Develop and enhance monitoring, logging, observability, and incident response capabilities to support production reliability and operational resilience.
  • Implement cloud security tooling, threat detection mechanisms, and automated response workflows to strengthen security posture.
  • Secure containerized and cloud-native workloads, ensuring adherence to best practices for workload protection and governance.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, compliance controls, and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives by translating security requirements into technical implementations and audit-ready documentation.
  • Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to communicate technical solutions, operational risks, and project progress.
