Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 4 years of experience leading and managing software engineering teams.
- Proven success delivering and supporting production-critical software applications in complex environments.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor, and develop high-performing technical teams.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on delivering scalable solutions.
- Hands-on experience developing Angular-based web applications and Java-based web services.
- Experience with cloud technologies and modern application frameworks, including AWS, Spring, Hibernate, and MySQL preferred.
- Familiarity with software deployment processes, operational support, and incident management practices.
- Experience working within regulated industries such as healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or other compliance-driven environments preferred.
- Knowledge of HL7 integrations, healthcare interoperability standards, or order and result workflows is considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical vision, architecture, and execution of full-stack software solutions, including front-end applications, back-end services, data systems, and third-party integrations.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, fostering professional growth, collaboration, engagement, and high performance.
- Partner with product management and user experience teams to define product strategy, prioritize initiatives, and deliver impactful features.
- Collaborate with technical project managers, quality assurance teams, quality engineers, regulatory specialists, and business stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Drive engineering excellence by establishing best practices for software quality, security, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Oversee deployment planning, release management, and production rollouts while minimizing operational risk and user disruption.
- Lead production support efforts, including incident management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve software development processes, methodologies, tools, and team workflows.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to healthcare technology environments.
- Support organizational growth by contributing to technical strategy, resource planning, and long-term engineering objectives.
