Requirements

  • Extensive experience in structured cabling, fiber optics, and copper systems installation, testing, and validation.
  • Strong technical expertise in telecommunications infrastructure and complex construction environments.
  • Familiarity with OSP/ISP pathways, splicing, and termination.
  • Proficiency with testing tools such as OTDR, light source, and power meters.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and construction quality platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and operate effectively under deadlines.
  • Certifications such as NFPA 70E, OSHA 10/30, or BICSI/FOA are preferred or required depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-to-end QA/QC oversight of connectivity infrastructure, ensuring compliance with design documents, industry standards, and project specifications.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and validation of telecommunications installations across all project phases including rough-in, cabling, termination, splicing, and closeout.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to QA/QC plans to prevent non-conforming work.
  • Collaborate with connectivity engineers, contractors, and vendors to resolve field issues.
  • Review design submittals, shop drawings, and test documentation to verify compliance.
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC records and generate progress reports in digital quality management systems.
