Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Genetic Engineering, or related scientific field.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in chemical sales or related technical sales environments.
  • Strong understanding of distributor/channel sales models and key account management principles.
  • Ability to translate technical product knowledge into clear commercial value for customers.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage territory planning and sales forecasting.
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
  • MBA is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue targets while effectively managing expenses and profitability.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with channel partners and distributors to drive consistent business growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cross-selling, up-selling, and acquisition of new accounts.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, sales bids, and technical discussions with customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to communicate customer needs, market trends, and product requirements.
  • Maintain regular engagement with key accounts through structured interactions such as business reviews and meetings.
  • Ensure strong execution of channel strategy while supporting distributor performance and capability building.
