Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in Analytics Engineering or BI Engineering.
- Proven track record of delivering clean data architectures.
- Strong working knowledge of dbt, including production project contribution, testing, and documentation.
- Experience incorporating AI into modelling, documentation, or review workflows.
- Domain expertise in multi-market or multi-currency data modelling.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based MPP warehouses (BigQuery or Redshift).
- Deep understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modelling.
- Familiarity with version control workflows like GitLab or GitHub, including peer reviews and unit testing.
- Ability to communicate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with LookML or Python for automation is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Shape the unified intelligence layer to ensure reliability for analysts and AI agents.
- Define and govern canonical metrics, dimensions, and business logic for company-wide decision-making.
- Design modelling requirements for platform migrations and manage how data products are consumed.
- Contribute to dbt environment evolution through model design, documentation, and testing.
- Translate complex stakeholder questions into clear modelling requirements and governed metrics.
- Drive platform portability to ensure data products are scalable and stack-independent.
- Lead technical reviews for metric and model changes before production deployment.
- Steer the long-term Analytics Engineering roadmap for the e-commerce business.
