Requirements
- BS in Engineering, preferably electrical or computer engineering.
- 5+ years of protection and controls experience.
- 5+ years of experience working with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
- Proactive, self-sufficient, and able to work productively from home without supervision.
- Strong ability to collaborate with others and prioritize team goals.
- Preferred: Engineering in Training (EIT) license.
- Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Preferred: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Preferred: Knowledge of NEC, NESC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
- Preferred: Proficiency in design techniques for technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Design and prepare protective schemes, one lines, three lines, AC/DC schematics, and substation panel layouts.
- Develop substation wiring diagrams, cable schedules, SCADA/communication diagrams, and DC/AC system calculations.
- Develop equipment specifications, selection criteria, and bills of materials based on design requirements.
- Coordinate with physical, settings, and drafting disciplines to ensure quality deliverables.
- Participate in client meetings and perform site visits for data gathering as required.
- Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
- Provide field support during construction and ensure compliance with QA/QC processes.
- Apply client standards and continuously improve technical and professional knowledge.
