Requirements
- Licensed PE in electrical engineering or equivalent senior experience.
- Proven experience leading power, lighting, and low-voltage systems design on building projects.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with electrical design and calculation software such as SKM PowerTools, ETAP, or AGi32.
- Deep curiosity regarding engineering workflows and ability to explain design rationale.
- Well-developed opinions on current industry workflow challenges.
Responsibilities
- Explain detailed day-to-day and project-to-project electrical engineering workflows.
- Discuss design intent on real-world projects to assist product development.
- Pressure-test product ideas and prototypes by identifying time-saving potential, risks, and failure points.
- Map coordination and clash detection points between electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
- Identify which engineering tasks require human judgment versus those suitable for automation.
