Requirements
- J.D. or C.P.A. degree required.
- 10–15+ years of progressive tax experience, including leadership roles.
- Extensive experience in the renewable energy industry.
- Deep knowledge of partnership taxation (Subchapter K).
- Experience with tax credit initiatives, debt financing, and tax equity financing.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage external tax advisors.
- Excellent decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong sense of urgency, positive outlook, and proactive work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax advice to support the development of 5 GW of utility scale solar and battery storage projects.
- Identify and implement opportunities to maximize the use of renewable energy tax incentives.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive tax strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
- Support project and company financing, including structuring tax equity transactions.
- Manage audits, inquiries, and relationships with tax authorities.
- Oversee preparation and filing of all federal, state and local income, property and sales tax returns.
- Perform due diligence and advise senior management on tax implications of acquisitions.
