Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license and good standing in Ohio, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Washington, California, or New York.
- Minimum 10 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience.
- Extensive MVA and CVA litigation experience.
- Significant deposition, mediation, and courtroom experience.
- First-chair trial experience strongly preferred.
- Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to independently manage a litigation docket.
- Experience working remotely while maintaining high productivity.
- Established relationships with medical providers, experts, and litigation support professionals are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through resolution.
- Develop litigation strategies and oversee all phases of litigation including depositions, mediations, and trials.
- Serve as the lead personal injury attorney within the assigned state.
- Establish relationships with medical providers, treatment facilities, and expert witnesses to support case development.
- Identify and secure relationships with litigation professionals such as investigators and accident reconstructionists.
- Develop state-specific pre-litigation and litigation procedures, workflows, and best practices.
- Provide guidance regarding local court rules and jurisdiction-specific requirements.
- Assist with training and mentoring attorneys and support staff as the firm grows.
