Requirements
- CPA designation
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 2 years in a people management role
- Deep hands-on experience in both AP and AR operations
- Proven track record owning month-end close
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP/ASPE and Canadian indirect tax (GST/HST, PST)
- Experience with Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or a comparable ERP
- Experience in the technology/SaaS industry
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end close process, including calendar management, task sequencing, and review of journal entries and reconciliations.
- Oversee end-to-end AR operations, focusing on DSO reduction and cash flow predictability.
- Oversee end-to-end AP operations, focusing on vendor trust and working capital discipline.
- Serve as a primary internal expert for the Procurify platform, providing structured feedback to the product team and testing new features.
- Lead and mentor the corporate accounting team, setting goals and fostering professional development.
- Champion AI adoption within the accounting function to improve automation and efficiency.
- Ensure GAAP/ASPE compliance and maintain internal controls across accounting operations.
