Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 3+ years in a Staff, equivalent senior IC, or Senior IC role ready for broader scope.
- Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
- Proven track record of driving multi-team technical initiatives and setting architectural direction.
- Practical experience with SaaS security and compliance, including SOC2 and vulnerability management.
- Hands-on experience building or contributing to agentic workflows (MCP servers, AI-assisted pipelines).
- Experience mentoring or leading engineers through technical initiatives.
- Strong understanding of system design and scalability.
- Excellent communication skills for writing technical narratives and stakeholder collaboration.
- Genuine interest in direct people management and coaching.
Responsibilities
- Set technical direction across multiple domains and shape architectural boundaries.
- Own complex, end-to-end technical work including greenfield service design and large refactors.
- Drive resolution of org-level technical, scalability, and security risks.
- Lead the design and adoption of agentic engineering workflows and AI-native development tools.
- Directly manage two mid-level engineers, supporting their performance and career growth.
- Mentor engineers across the organization through pairing, code review, and technical critique.
- Partner with product and design teams to align technical perspectives with business goals.
