Requirements

  • Experience in a product support or application role.
  • Knowledge of Voice over IP protocols such as SIP and RTP.
  • Understanding of Fax over IP (T.38) protocols.
  • Experience with web technologies such as APIs and SDKs.
  • Familiarity with SMS over SIP SIMPLE, SMPP, or HTTP.
  • Proficiency with Wireshark for network packet analysis.
  • Experience using Postman for API troubleshooting.
  • Confidence working with Linux and the Linux terminal.
  • Strong customer-focus and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot VoIP/SIP calls and RTP packets using Wireshark and internal tools to identify call issues.
  • Replicate and resolve API issues reported by customers using Postman.
  • Analyze T.30 and T.38 Fax over IP packets using internal tools and Wireshark.
  • Run live packet captures from cloud servers on the Linux terminal.
  • Monitor operational pager alerts in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Improve customer self-service through better processes and documentation.
  • Liaise with technical peers for resolution of escalated cases.
