Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
  • Current RN training.
  • 5 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Experience in medical staff services, credentialing, or quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards such as The Joint Commission.
  • Proficiency in healthcare data management and credentialing software.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory standards.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Certified Peer Reviewer credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the peer review process including scheduling, communication, and documentation.
  • Oversee the implementation and administration of FPPE and OPPE programs.
  • Analyze practitioner performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and submit facility enrollment applications to payers and government entities.
  • Maintain accurate records and resolve issues during the enrollment process.
  • Act as a liaison between medical staff, quality improvement, and administrative departments.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and state regulations.
