Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
- Firm grasp of cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and relevant security/compliance considerations.
- Ability to explain and advocate ideas to a diverse audience with clear architectural documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to take ambiguous, high-impact requirements through to production-ready systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Experience with AWS cloud services (CDK, Athena, Glue, SageMaker).
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Dagster, Airflow, Prefect).
- Experience with data warehouses or lakehouses (e.g., Athena, Iceberg, Snowflake).
- Experience supporting machine learning workflows like dataset generation and model pipelines.
- Experience designing and implementing SOC2-aligned deletion and retention systems.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement impactful improvements to the company’s data platform to accelerate product and AI development.
- Design, architect, and implement scalable data infrastructure supporting both analytics and AI/ML-driven product features.
- Build and maintain compliant, auditable data storage and processing systems in AWS using infrastructure-as-code.
- Develop and operate robust data pipelines and orchestration systems, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
- Design and implement data retention and deletion workflows that meet legal and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and documentation as the platform evolves.
