Requirements
- 8-12 years of product management or related engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of experience owning API platforms, developer platforms, or technical integration products.
- Hands-on experience designing and shipping APIs at a modern, API-first or platform-oriented company.
- Deep technical fluency to read API specs and contribute to architectural discussions.
- Proven track record of shipping integrations that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Strong communication skills for translating requirements across engineering, business, and compliance teams.
- Experience in private markets, wealth management, or fund administration is preferred.
- Experience building partner integrations in regulated or compliance-heavy environments is preferred.
- Experience with API commercialization or marketplace/ecosystem business models is a plus.
- Experience building a platform product function from scratch at a growth-stage company is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define the vision and roadmap for Hiive's external API platform and developer ecosystem.
- Own the end-to-end API product lifecycle, including design, documentation, governance, and deprecation.
- Lead the product side of financial infrastructure integrations, translating complex domain requirements into clean API contracts.
- Partner with engineering to establish API design standards that prioritize developer experience and security.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure integrations meet regulatory obligations like FINRA and KYC/AML.
- Build and maintain API documentation, sandbox environments, and developer guides.
- Define and track API success metrics such as partner onboarding time and API adoption.
