Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience within the surety industry.
- Demonstrated success managing and growing profitable surety portfolios.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. surety market.
- Proven expertise in underwriting surety accounts and evaluating complex risks.
- Established network of broker relationships.
- Successful track record of generating and developing business through intermediary partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, financial assessment, and decision-making skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to establish goals and deliver business results.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Willingness to learn and integrate Artificial Intelligence tools into business processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and grow a profitable surety portfolio across assigned territories within the Western United States.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing broker partners while identifying and establishing new business opportunities.
- Execute regional strategic objectives to contribute to business expansion and market penetration.
- Assess, analyze, and underwrite surety risks in accordance with established underwriting guidelines and risk appetite.
- Maintain accurate and transparent documentation of underwriting decisions and risk evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal teams across regional and international markets to maximize business opportunities.
- Represent the organization within industry associations and networking events.
