Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience building production backend systems, ideally in distributed or cloud-based environments.
- Strong proficiency in Go and backend development, with hands-on experience delivering production-grade services.
- Proven ability to design and operate scalable, reliable systems with measurable improvements in performance or stability.
- Experience building end-to-end systems, from design through deployment and ongoing production support.
- Solid understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and system design principles.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote or distributed team environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that power core insurance workflows, including policy management, payments, claims, and data integrations.
- Develop internal tools and system improvements that enhance engineering efficiency, reliability, and scalability across the platform.
- Own and evolve system architecture, contributing to decisions on service design, infrastructure, and long-term technical direction.
- Integrate with third-party services and data providers to support real-time insurance and risk-related decisioning.
- Improve system stability, performance, and scalability across business-critical applications in production environments.
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end features and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and mentorship activities to elevate engineering standards across the team.
