Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience as a legal operations leader, attorney, or consultant.
- Subject matter expertise in legal department operations and process workflows.
- Experience leading multi-year legal transformation and workflow improvement projects.
- Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining legal department technology systems.
- Ability to communicate business cases to legal leaders and secure buy-in for change.
- Knowledge of legal department technology tools such as e-billing, matter management, contract management, AI tools, and GRC.
- Demonstrated executive presence and ability to advise senior leaders like General Counsel and CIOs.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data and frameworks.
- Excellent presentation skills for large and small-scale speaking engagements.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a multicultural, matrixed global team.
Responsibilities
- Create innovative, must-have written insights for General Counsel and legal operations leaders.
- Advise on department strategy, budgeting, strategic planning, and vendor management.
- Deliver actionable advice through face-to-face and video-based presentations.
- Research and predict market trends in legal technology and department operations.
- Support the commercial team by serving as a domain expert during prospective client engagements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers to establish consistent thought leadership and research positions.
- Provide peer review for research content and mentor junior team members.
