Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Typically at least one year of relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of loan processing, closing, and funding policies and procedures.
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Good data entry and mathematical skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer navigation skills using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Review loans to ensure compliance with bank, regulatory, and investor guidelines and determine acceptability.
- Communicate with lenders, staff, and title companies to resolve outstanding items and ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Deliver loan packages in a timely manner to the Secondary/Pooling Unit for sale on the secondary market.
- Package and submit government loan files to HUD/VA for insurance or guaranty.
- Prepare required disclosure information within designated time frames.
