Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; applicable experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project cost controls, budgeting, or project financial management within the energy industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple project budgets simultaneously.
- Advanced to expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and macro-enabled workbooks.
- Strong experience developing project cash flow forecasts, cost reports, and estimate-to-complete analyses.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise PowerPoint presentations.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace tools and Slack.
- Experience reviewing invoices, validating cost allocations, and supporting project payment processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and risks.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Manage budgets and monthly cost reporting for 6–10 concurrent active construction projects.
- Maintain detailed project cost tracking using Excel-based reporting tools and embedded macros.
- Develop and maintain project cash flow forecasts in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Review contractor and vendor invoices to verify accuracy and appropriate cost category assignments.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and executive-ready reporting materials for project leadership.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures for project budget management processes.
