Requirements
- 5–10+ years of professional engineering experience.
- Meaningful experience shipping full-stack products on small teams.
- Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript.
- Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end, including defining backend contracts.
- Experience working with design and shipping directly to real users.
- Good product taste and attention to UI/UX detail.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to execute from rough problem statements.
- Willingness to engage in direct, honest technical and product discussions.
- Focus on high-quality code, testing, and clean system interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Own features end-to-end, from scoping and architecture to shipping and iterating based on real customer feedback.
- Build and maintain core product surfaces, including the customer dashboard, onboarding flows, and reporting tools.
- Work directly with the tax operations team to identify automation bottlenecks and design scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with founders and product leadership to design, build, and ship new products end-to-end.
- Contribute to the tax filing pipeline, managing liability calculations, return preparation, and state portal submissions.
- Translate complex compliance workflows into clear, intuitive user interfaces.
- Participate in architectural decisions and provide technical feedback.
