Requirements
- 3+ years of experience contributing to secure outcomes with engineering teams.
- Experience with OWASP Top 10 and other industry security standards.
- Experience with application security and security testing.
- Proficiency in secure code review.
- Basic skills in one or more of PHP, Python, Kotlin, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Inclusive mindset and ability to work with diverse teams.
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering teams to improve security through consultation, education, tooling, and process improvements.
- Perform targeted code reviews and security assessments during the Secure Development Lifecycle for high-risk designs, vulnerabilities, or security-sensitive features.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and development practices to help engineering teams adopt them securely through guidance, guardrails, and risk assessments.
- Identify recurring security challenges and contribute to scalable solutions to reduce organizational risk.
- Review, prioritize, and collaborate with engineering teams to remediate application vulnerability reports from third-party sources.
- Command security incidents and facilitate post-mortem investigations.
- Participate in on-call rotation and shoulder operational toil for the team.
