Requirements
- Solid backend development experience, ideally with Go.
- Strong understanding of storage solutions, particularly MySQL, SQLite, and Postgres.
- Commitment to developer/user experience and product quality.
- Proven experience delivering projects from gathering requirements to shipping.
- Experience writing clean, robust, and maintainable software.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers in an asynchronous environment.
- Ability to analyze complex challenges and build modular, iterative solutions.
- Experience with open-source software and/or commercial open-source companies.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, or Developer Efficiency workflows.
- Experience as a user of Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles.
- Familiarity with on-call duties and SRE operational tasks.
Responsibilities
- Deliver new functionality and iterate based on performance data.
- Contribute to and review design documents for upcoming features.
- Engage with open-source projects beyond immediate team scope.
- Influence the product roadmap and individual career objectives.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take operational ownership of services.
- Mentor and support team members through collaborative design discussions.
- Share technical ideas and knowledge across diverse teams.
- Collaborate closely with other squads in the Grafana Division.
