Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in ML, NLP, or LLM-based systems, or 3+ years in software engineering with a strong interest in applied AI.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Experience with tools such as LangChain, Hugging Face, OpenAI, or vector databases.
- Experience working directly with customers or in client-facing engineering roles.
- Ability to understand messy real-world data and ship practical solutions quickly.
- Strong ownership and comfort operating in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to move from ambiguity to action without waiting for perfect requirements.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with insurance brokers, MGAs, and carriers to deploy AI-powered solutions for their workflows.
- Use LLMs, embeddings, and structured data pipelines to build features such as document review, entity extraction, and quote comparison.
- Rapidly prototype and productionize features based on customer needs and feedback.
- Collaborate with sales, customer success, and product teams to prioritize high-leverage initiatives.
- Build reusable components that can scale across customers and use cases.
- Define the playbook for how Outmarket solves customer problems in the field.
