Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in software development and operating distributed systems
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language
- Experience building and operating large-scale CI/CD pipelines
- Customer-focused mindset
- Value efficiency in processes and operations
- Prefer automation over manual process
- Experience using and extending containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes
- Expertise in cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Understanding of Linux operating system internals
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, routing)
Responsibilities
- Develop continuous deployment experience for MongoDB products
- Contribute to open-source projects
- Engineer software-based approaches like Kubernetes operators
- Own the onboarding flow for engineering teams launching products or services
- Collaborate within Platform Engineering to ensure consistent onboarding
- Provide internal support for deployment systems
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
