Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a casualty insurance environment.
- Experience in insurance defense or coverage consultation at a law firm.
- Experience analyzing, interpreting, and developing coverage language.
- Superior analytical, negotiation, marketing, and sales skills.
- Excellent listening, speaking, writing, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- CPCU, AIC, or ARM designation is highly desired.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development of new insurance products including drafting coverage language.
- Develop strategic vision for coverage offerings and product lines.
- Manage planning, drafting, implementation, and introduction of new insurance products.
- Provide coverage analysis and consultation to support underwriting and account management.
- Monitor marketplace competition and conduct side-by-side policy analysis.
- Develop and deliver educational content for internal and external audiences.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate state filings.
- Draft customer communications and respond to coverage inquiries.
