Requirements
- 5+ yrs of software engineering experience.
- Excellent communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- OS experience in Linux, UNIX, and/or Windows.
- Experience with Java, J2EE, Servlets, MDB, HTML, JNDI, Jax-RS, JMS, Junit, XML, JSON.
- Familiarity with AS2/4, HTTP(S), FTP(S), SFTP, Rest/APIs, RNIF, EBICS.
- Cloud experience in AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, or RedHat.
- CI/CD experience with Maven, Docker, IBM Cloud, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub.
- Database experience in Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, or MySQL.
- Proficiency with JDBC, JDK, JVM stack traces.
- Experience executing Static & Dynamic scans and fixing vulnerabilities.
- Demonstrated experience using AI assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor).
- Hands-on experience with spec-driven or agent-assisted development workflows.
Responsibilities
- Defines, analyzes, and resolves customer escalations in a timely & accurate manner.
- Investigates complex customer escalations using AI tools for log analysis, root cause identification, and defect diagnosis.
- Provides periodic updates to customers, co-workers & management on the status of outstanding issues.
- Documents complex issue resolutions for both the customer & internal reference.
- Delivers production code fixes end to end from defect confirmation through AI-assisted patch development, automated test generation, code review, and release validation.
- Assists team members with complex issues to gain experience & exposure to more advanced problems.
- Navigates large, unfamiliar codebases using AI tools to assess defect impact and identify fix paths.
- Contributes, reviews & maintain knowledge base content and product documentation.
- Requires periodic after hour / weekend coverage on a Pager rotational basis.
