Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years in accounting/finance with direct hands-on ownership of a full month-end close.
- Strong technical accounting fundamentals including GAAP and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Hands-on AP experience including vendor communication and dispute resolution.
- Daily working familiarity with AI/LLM tools and a track record of applying them to finance tasks.
- Strong SQL for data extraction and transformation; advanced Excel.
- Hands-on experience with payroll journal entries and payroll platforms.
- Multi-entity / multi-brand accounting experience.
- Experience building and shipping automation solutions.
- Highly organized with strong deadline-driven capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Drive the full close cycle to completion within the 5-day target window.
- Prepare and post recurring journal entries and manage accruals.
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany entries.
- Manage AP operations including bill processing, payment proposals, and vendor reconciliation.
- Use AI and Python to automate manual accounting work.
- Champion an AI-first approach to finance operations using LLMs.
- Prototype and deploy agent-based automations and build micro-apps.
- Ensure GL accuracy, GAAP compliance, and support external audit/tax requests.
