Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in database engineering, data architecture, or related roles.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and relational database systems (Azure SQL or SQL Server preferred).
- Experience with Databricks Lakehouse platform and Delta Lake.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, data processing, and ETL pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with pipeline integrity data (ILI, PODS, GIS platforms like APDM/UPDM).
- Deep knowledge of data modelling, schema design, indexing, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with pipeline integrity regulations (CFR 192 & 195, ASME B31.8S).
- Experience in agile/scrum software development environments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable data models and database architectures for pipeline integrity datasets.
- Establish and enforce data standards, processes, and procedures.
- Drive the evolution of the CIM Data Model.
- Implement enhancements to the data management platform.
- Write high-quality stored procedures, queries, and migration scripts.
- Diagnose and resolve database performance bottlenecks.
- Analyze customer GIS and third-party systems for integration.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
