Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical operations, facilities management, or construction project environments.
  • Strong background in project management, capital project execution, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience managing projects ranging from $10K to $1M, with exposure to annual portfolios up to $5M.
  • Solid understanding of EHS principles, building codes, permitting processes, and contractor safety requirements.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyze project costs, and report financial performance.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, finance, supply chain, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to work directly in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Proven ability to identify risks, solve problems, and drive projects to completion with accountability and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and engineering software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of EHS capital improvement projects across multiple manufacturing sites, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
  • Oversee project lifecycle activities from identification and planning through implementation, contractor coordination, and final execution.
  • Ensure compliance with management of change processes, building codes, safety regulations, permits, and contractor safety requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for property insurance coordination, audit findings, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Partner with EHS teams to design and implement capital programs that enhance safety performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain detailed project tracking dashboards and lead regular status updates with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Manage capital expenditure planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors, manage purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of project components.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while escalating issues as needed to ensure successful delivery.
  • Provide hands-on project support in manufacturing environments when required to address resource gaps or execution challenges.
